Lightspeed Technologies, Inc. may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make any changes, we will notify you by revising the “Last Updated” date in this Privacy Notice and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you an email notification). If there are material changes to this Privacy Notice, we will notify you more directly by email or means of a notice on the home page prior to the change becoming effective. If you disagree with any changes to this Privacy Notice and do not wish your information to be subject to the revised Privacy Notice, you will need to deactivate with us and stop using Lightspeed’s services. Your use of any of the Lightspeed services after the posting of such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes. This policy is effective from 10/31/2009. 

We may collect the following information:

  • Contact information including email address 
  • Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests 
  • Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers 
  • When you use our mobile optimized website or our mobile application, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. Lightspeed and our service providers may use and store this information to provide you with location based services, search results, and other personalized content. Lightspeed will provide notifications only to those customers who accept to receive such notifications. Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable location services in the device’s setting’s menu. If you have questions about how to disable your device’s location services, we recommend you contact your mobile service carrier or the manufacturer of your particular device. 
  • When you visit our website, we may also gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include without limitation browser information, Internet Service Provider (ISP), operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or other device identifiers, location and date/time stamp. 
  • Third parties with whom we work with may also provide us information about you. We may combine information you have given to us with additional information made available by external sources. For example, depending on your settings or the privacy policies for social media and messaging services like Facebook or Twitter, you may give us permission to access information from those accounts or services.   • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account with Lightspeed. Lightspeed does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 16. Those under age 16 should not use Lightspeed’s website or provide Lightspeed with any personal information. Security 
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We will disclose your information if necessary to protect our website’s interests and if we determine disclosure is required by law or otherwise necessary for national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance. Your information will be shared with third parties in the event of any merger, consolidation, or sale of all or substantially all of the assets of Lightspeed along with any other asset transferred in such transactions.

If access cannot be provided within a reasonable time frame, Lightspeed will provide you with a date when the information will be provided. If for some reason access is denied, Lightspeed will provide an explanation as to why access has been denied. 

How we use cookies 
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets us know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

Authorized Agents Making Access and Deletion Requests 

You may also use an authorized agent to submit an access or deletion request on your behalf.  Authorized agents may submit access and deletion requests by emailing info@lightspeed-tek.com. An authorized agent must have your signed permission to submit a request on your behalf or provide proof that they have power of attorney in accordance with California probate law. Authorized agents that are business entities must be registered with the California Secretary of State to conduct business in California. Before completing requests from authorized agents, we may contact you directly to confirm you’ve given your permission and/or to verify your identity. 

*When a consumer submits a right to request to know, businesses have 45 calendar days to respond. This time limit can be extended by another 45 days if a business notifies the consumer.
