Teacher Success Stories: "More teaching time!" Gold Pixel

Each year, more students and teachers benefit from classroom amplification technology. The independent Trost Study showed that with amplification, students achieved dramatic increases in reading fluency and growth in composite test scores. And, teacher redirection decreased by 72%.

"The LightSPEED amplification system allows me to use a calm, quiet teaching voice throughout the day. My students are more focused and stay on task for longer periods of time. Transition times are smooth as students quiet down immediately when I use the mic. This means more teaching time!"
- Olga Litz, Teacher, Mountain Way Elementary, Granite Falls, WA

Tips & Tricks: Controlling volume and feedback Gold Pixel

Classroom amplification is designed to distribute the teacher’s normal speaking voice evenly throughout the classroomnot overwhelm students with loud sound. If you’re experiencing feedback or high-pitched squealing, follow these steps to control the volume:

  • > Turn the volume down (counter clockwise)
  • > Slowly increase the volume until you can just barely hear your voice
  • > While speaking into the microphone, walk under or near the speakers to ensure feedback does not occur.
