TESTIMONIALS
  • We have decided to use Lightspeed in all the schools...the REDCAT proved to be a great option for the schools and the State Department staff is very pleased about the project
    B. Hunter - Superintendent, Alabama
  • Classroom audio systems have more impact on student learning than any other single piece of technology in the district.
    L. Hicok - Principal, Iowa
  • Words cannot express my satisfaction with the REDCAT sound system. It not only impacted a hearing impaired student, but all of my first graders became more attentive listeners and learners as a result of this product.
    D. Hippensteel - First grade Teacher, Missouri
  • The REDCAT system is amazing. In a world that keeps adding more to our job, it is nice that your company helps to make it easier. It works fantastically for me. Thank you for everything.
    T. Vaughaan - Second Grade Teacher, Oregon
  • The REDCAT offered something that other companies haven't been able to - an all-in-one system - with only one speaker that fills the room with equal sound. It is a high quality product and makes great fiscal sense! From the beginning (the) equipment far exceeded my expectations.
    S. Dornback - RISD Audiologist, Texas
  • The REDCAT is a truly fantastic piece of equipment that is proving to be an outstanding instructional tool for our schools.
    T. Dougherty - Superintendent, New York
  • We heard the REDCAT and immediately placed our first order. The sound quality, ease-of-use and the quick set-up, is a major benefit to us.

It is with sadness that Lightspeed announces the loss of our leader, mentor, colleague, and friend Larry Stark, who passed away April 30th after living out his final months as he lived his entire life with faith, courage, humor, and love for others. Larry will always be with us here at Lightspeed.

Larry Stark
Larry Stark

The following is a message from the Stark family.

Larry’s faith became sight on April 30th, 2011 when he went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, from whom all blessings flow. First and foremost, Larry loved The Lord and lived a life showing that love to others while never expecting anything in return. Although he was an accomplished businessman, retiring from the position of VP of Sales for Lightspeed Technologies (Tualatin, OR) February, 2011, he viewed business as a venue to reach and inspire others, not just a way to achieve his own goals. Larry had an unparalleled love for life and lived it boldly, happily and with a zest not many know. Always first with a laugh for others and himself, he loved to travel with his wife both nationally and internationally, to prepare gourmet meals for others and enjoy time with friends and family. Throughout his life, Larry participated actively in the church. In addition, he served in many ministries including: Campus Crusade for Christ, Crossway Prison Ministries, volunteer chaplain for L.A. County jail systems and lead many Bible studies. He was a devout and loving husband, father and friend.

Awaiting Larry in heaven upon his arrival are: his mother, Janith F. Stark; Father, John R. Stark Sr.; and brother, Gary Stark, DDS.

Family members still waiting to join him include: his beloved wife of 43 years, Karla L Stark; two daughters, Stacy A. Weigand (Stephen R. Weigand) and Karie L. Lee (Shannon M. Lee); and three grandchildren, Braden A. Lee, Kelan S. Lee, and Mackenzie R. Lee; brother, John R. Stark, Jr.; sister, Pat J. Heidt.

Memorial services will be Thursday, May 5, 2011, 2:00 pm at Newberg Friends Church, 307 South College Street, Newberg, OR 97132-3113, (503) 538-8381.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Larry by making donations to Crossways Ministries – P.O. Box 3184, Newberg, OR 97132.
