If I Could Hear, I Could Learn:
Reflections of an English Language Learner

English Language Learners face several challenges within the education system, not the least of which is the ability to clearly hear all of the spoken instruction. Insights from an ELL student, who became a school superintendent, are personal and powerful reminders of what it takes to break through the language barrier and become a success.
